Homemade Filled Easter Eggs
Who doesn’t love those delightful filled chocolate Easter eggs? Whether your favorite is coconut, cream, caramel, or peanut butter, this is a complete staple in the line of Easter desserts and treats. I won’t claim to have ever made these on my own, but I will refer you to someone who has. I stumbled upon Andrea’s blog and wanted to direct your attention to a very thorough recipe for homemade filled Easter eggs that I think you will just love!

Remember, you will need to get the Easter egg candy molds for this recipe to work.

Rice Krispie Treat Eggs
This recipe is as simple as making traditional Rice Krispies, except you need to shape them into eggs instead of putting them into a bar pan and cutting them into squares. You can also decorate them with tiny candies or cake and cupcake decorations themed for Easter. The Rice Krispies website gives a fantastic photo and recipe feature of this very sweet Easter dessert, so be sure to check it out if you are in the mood for a yummy Easter themed Rice Krispie treat!

Easter Brownies
For this fun Easter dessert recipe, your only limitation is your imagination. Here are a few different ways you can make cute Easter brownies for your own Easter at home or as a take-along treat for someone else’s celebration.

•    Make a standard pan of brownies and use Easter cookie cutters in shapes of eggs, bunnies, and flowers to make Easter shaped brownies. Frost or decorate appropriately.
•    Make standard brownies but frost them in pastel colors or with green frosting and add jelly beans as tiny Easter eggs.

•    Make Easter Brownie Pops using a mini muffin pan or an actual cake pop pan. Once cooled, add long lollypop sticks, stick them in a piece of Styrofoam, and decorate to your heart’s content. You can dip them in melted chocolate, frost them, or simply sprinkle them with confectioners sugar.

Brightly Colored Popcorn Balls
When we were kids, my mom used to make all kinds of fun treats with us. I distinctly remember making brightly colored popcorn balls with Kool-Aid packets. My mom no longer has the recipe, but here is one for Popcorn Balls colored with Kool-Aid that I found online – it is bound to be similar. This can be especially fun if you make them in a few different colors – pink, blue, green, purple. This Easter snack idea also makes a great Easter craft to try with the kids!

Homemade Easter Chocolates and Chocolate Pops
No Easter season would be complete without a little time spent making your own chocolate Easter candies. This is another fun Easter dessert craft you can try with the kids at home. Simply purchase a few candy molds and the appropriate colors and flavors of those chocolate melting discs (I think they are called wafers). You can find lots of adorable Easter candy molds to suit your needs, from bunnies to ducks, chicks, lambs, eggs, flowers, and more. You can also make bunny pops with chocolate and lollypop sticks if you have the right mold.

As another alternative, you can try to make Easter gum pops, which can be a really cute and fun Easter activity to enjoy with the kids. Of course, in terms of dessert ideas for Easter, you may want to stick with any of the above tasty and chocolaty treats!
