Delicious Fruit Flavored Margaritas and Margarita Drink Recipes

For a fun and festive alcoholic drink with a delicious fruit flavored kick, fix up some fruity margaritas for yourself and your friends. Cinco de Mayo is a great time to celebrate the margarita. With this in mind, feel free to get creative and try out lots of frozen and on the rocks fruity margarita concoctions for the holiday or any day.

Choose from different margaritas flavored with melon, watermelon, pear, and of course, strawberry.

The Melting Pot’s Watermelon Margarita
A sweet and fruity twist on the traditional margarita from The Melting Pot fondue restaurants… this fruit flavored margarita is one you simply cannot miss. A frosty blend of watermelon, lime, agave tequila and orange liqueur….

0.5 cup sugar
0.5 cup water
1 tsp grated lime zest
Coarse salt to taste
1 lime wedge
1 cup watermelon puree (see note below)
2 tbsp fresh lime juice
4 oz premium 100 percent agave tequila
1 oz orange-flavored liqueur (Grand Marnier or Triple Sec recommended)
1 cup ice

Watermelon Margarita Recipe Instructions:
1.    Chill a margarita glass in the freezer for 30 minutes.
2.    Combine the sugar, water and lime zest in a small saucepan.
3.    Bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring constantly until the sugar is dissolved.
4.    Remove from the heat and let stand until cooled to room temperature.
5.    Strain into a container and discard the lime zest.
6.    You may prepare the syrup to this point and chill, covered, until ready to use.
7.    Spread the salt on small flat plate.
8.    Moisten the rim of the margarita glass with the lime wedge.
9.    Invert the glass onto the plate and rotate gently to cover the rim evenly with salt, shaking off the excess.
10.    Combine 2 tablespoons of the lime syrup, the watermelon puree, lime juice, tequila, liqueur and ice in a cocktail shaker.
11.    Shake for 1 minute or until frothy and well-chilled.
12.    Strain into the prepared glass and garnish with the lime wedge.
13.    Store any unused lime syrup in the refrigerator for up to 1 week.
Note: To prepare the watermelon puree, remove and discard the seeds from a watermelon. Cut the watermelon into chunks. Place in a blender and process until pureed. Store any unused watermelon puree in the refrigerator for up to two days.

1.5 oz. Tanteo Jalapeno tequila
0.5 oz. Pear Puree
0.75 oz. Lime Juice
1 oz. Simple Syrup
Splash OJ
0.5 oz. Bacardi 151 (burn off 50% of the alcohol)
Nutmeg Garnish

Hot Pear Margarita Recipe Instructions:
1.    Combine ingredients.
2.    Garnish drink with a light dusting of nutmeg.

1.5 oz. Jose Cuervo Especial
3 oz. Jose Cuervo Lime Margarita Mix
Handful of fresh or frozen strawberries
½ cup of crushed ice
Fresh strawberry for garnish

Frozen Strawberry Margarita Recipe Instructions:
1.    Rub the rim of a margarita glass with lime and dip into sugar.
2.    Mix all ingredients in blender (except sugar and one strawberry) in blender until smooth. 
3.    Pour contents into margarita glass with fresh strawberry.
