Is it fair to review a product I’ve loved all my life? Sure, why not. I absolutely adore Jergens Cherry Almond lotions and moisturizers – and I loved the hand soaps whenever my mom would buy them as I was growing up. I recently received a bottle of Jergens lotion to try in Original Cherry Almond Scent, and boy did it bring back those memories!
I applied the lotion tonight right out of the shower before I threw on my worse-for-wear, broken-in jeans. Can you blame me for loving the comfortable and familiar? I enjoyed the pleasant scent of the Jergens lotion and my legs thanked me for dousing them generously during this bitter wintertime.
The bottle of lotion is sleek and slender, making it a good fit for your travel bag, gym bag, diaper bag, backpack, or oversized purse. The flip-top lid keeps the lotion safe inside the bottle, yet easily available for dispensing.
After just one use, my legs feel truly hydrated. My hands are awfully dry this winter, so perhaps it isn’t fair for them to make a judgment just yet. If I had to decide right now, I’d say it’s only been five minutes and my thumbs and fingertips are already parched for more lotion as I sit here typing. Perhaps I’d better reassess after a few more uses.
In using Jergens Original Scent Cherry-Almond Moisturizer on my hands over the course of a few days, I’ve noticed that my driest skin does crave more applications of lotion than the rest of my skin. I get the feeling that the lotion doesn’t moisturize beyond the initial few layers of skin. It’s great for a quick fix, but I don’t think it will solve your dry skin problems over time. Still, the fragrance of cherry and almond is extremely pleasant and I would recommend this lotion if your skin isn’t in need of total hydration.
Jergens Original Scent Cherry-Almond Moisturizer is available for sale at mass retailers, grocery stores, and drugstores, as well as online at Amazon.com. You can purchase the lotion in 10 oz., 12.5 oz., 21 oz., and 32 oz. sizes, all for less than $10.
