July Honeymoon Destinations and Vacation Ideas

Traveling in July for a honeymoon or other special vacation can involve anything from a cruise or faraway vacation destination to a simple long weekend trip to the beach or the mountains. Depending on where you live, you may even have countless local places to visit for a July summer vacation. No matter if you plan to travel far and wide or stay close to home for your July getaway, consider these honeymoon destinations and vacation ideas for the month of July.

July can be a great month to travel and escape the heat or if you enjoy the hotter weather, a fine time to enhance the details of your summer vacation. July is a great month to plan family vacations and getaways with your school-aged children since it’s the first (and possibly only) full month of the year where your kids don’t have to go to school.

If you plan your vacation in the beginning of July, you can also capitalize on the paid day off from work for the Fourth of July holiday. Just be aware that traveling may be more congested and a bit more of a hassle when you plan a trip directly around a holiday. If you are planning your honeymoon or another special vacation in the month of July, consider these travel destination suggestions.

Editor’s Note: I also enjoyed visiting the Adirondack Park in upstate New York and Niagara Falls in the month of July.

Whether you want a long and exotic honeymoon or a close-to-home long-weekend getaway, begin your planning as early as you can to take advantage of the best deals and pricing you can find. Also be sure to get the most out of your memberships, like AAA, which allows you to plan a vacation with the assistance of the agency’s travel department. Any of the above vacation destinations would make a lovely trip, but don’t forget to consider the wonderful locations near your home and within several hours of where you live. You never know where your favorite vacation memories will take place!
