  1. My adopted 16 year old Corgie mix loves to ride. Coco (female) has gotten pretty old and deaf, but is like a child to me. We even cook special dog food for her every week since her stomach has gotten a little sensitive. She is always looks like she is smiling. A corgie is a great dog. I would recommend one for all ages.

  2. Brutus the Boxer ran away from a crack house. His owner was in jail (again). The lady who got him to take care of had small children to cope with and couldn’t handle him. My husband is a police officer and the lady asked him, hubby called me, and we have him and love him so very much.

  3. My pup was a gift from my boyfriend for my birthday. She’s now a 1.5 years old pembroke welsh corgi, who is still as crazy and lovable as the day she came home. she loves toys, too much! everybody in the family loves to buy her new toys, i believe she has at least 40 by now, in her very own toy box of course!

  4. My golden retriever Stormy is a registered therapy dog and read dog. The kids at the elementary school love reading to him….Whenever we go to school all down the hall you can hear the kids saying its stormy stormy’s here, etc…no one knows my name!

  5. My dog is Lucy & she is a 2 year old Pitbull that we adopted. She is the sweetest girl ever. She makes us laugh all the time with her silliness & she is sooo nosy. She loves peanut butter & people & other dogs & going for car rides & playing at the dog park. She keeps me company all day since I work from home & she is definitely one of my very best friends.

  6. My dog is a dachshund, I adopted him, It was love a first sight! He is a smarty, he can get the newspaper for me! He is a cutie! And would love this. suelee1998 @

  7. We have two rescues – a 25 lb terrier mix – Foxy, and a 4 lb chihuahua – Lucy. They are both so scared of everything – I feel so bad for them. We spoil them and give them tons of TLC, but if we pick up a broom, they freak out. They love car rides and treats and their momma!

  8. Our dog is a standard white poodle named Jack. My husband picked him out from the liter because Jack knew when the food was coming and so he thought he would be smart. Turns out he is just a big old food hound!
Jack always has to thank you for his food by coming up to your face and burping! I could do without dog food burps in my face, but he won’t stop!

  9. My family adopted Ringo, Doberman-Australia Cattle dog mix, from the pound. We chose him because we wanted another Doberman and we felt in love with him. He’s a great dog! 🙂

  10. We travel a lot to see family as they all live out of state.
This would be perfect for our Shipoo and Maltese who we always take with us. And definitely more comfortable than the towels on the back seat of the car.

  11. Gizmo is a Japanese Chin. She has been in our family for 12 years. she was adopted from a shelter. Gizmo was abused by her former owners and needs special love

  12. I got my dog Rose, a golden retriever, when I was 14 years old (I’m almost 22 now). She has been my best friend through the years, and I remember a couple of days after we had looked at her picture and told the breeder we wanted her, she called us back and said Rose had jumped off the porch and sprained her leg, so we could get one of her siblings if we didn’t want to wait, but we did wait for Rose to heal, and we are so glad we did!

  13. My dog, Rocky, is a rescue. He is so silly and always makes me laugh. I have taught him to get my shoes for me in the mornings, and to put them away in the evenings.

  14. I adopted my chiweenie, Rico, from a shelter in SF 4 years ago. I have never had a better dog before. He is always right by my side, he spoons in bed, he is spoiled rotten just like me, and even sleeps late in the morning like me. I know how much he loves me, and he definitely has a better life with me and I’m pretty sure he knows it! 😆

  15. I adopted my chihuahua, Lucky, 2 years ago. She is so cute and it is so funny to watch her try and fail to get into the trashcan to look for food because she is so tiny.

  16. 🙄 We have 2 dogs-both adopted. Brandy, our black lab was abandoned when her former owners moved and left her in a vacant apartment with no forwarding address. She suffers with severe separation anxiety-and within the first month-she actually chewed our double wooden entry door. No problem, we now have fiberglass doors and a well trained dog! She can’t be contained in a crate because she destroys them. Charley, our Heinz-57 mixed breed was adopted when we took Brandy into a local PetSmart after her vet’s visit, for a treat. There was a shelter holding an adopt-a-thon and Charley was passed over by all visitors. Charley is now 80 pounds of Black and Tan mix that likely has lab, shepherd, basset, dachshund, possibly greyhound, doberman and very definitely some type of hound because he bays instead of barks. Our vet calls him “…the most unique mix of canine he’s ever seen”. We love both dogs and take them EVERYWHERE! Both made our lives better!

  17. We adopted Chloe in Tenn from the Humane Society. She is a Lab Aussie mix and she is the smartest dog I have ever had. She was the sweetest little puppy and now at 10 years old she is still a sweetheart. She travels all over the country with us while we move from job to job and she seems to enjoy it as much as we do.

  18. We have 2 dogs. They love to go for rides. Rosie the girl is just silly, she’s a mutt that someone gave us when she was a baby. If you are sitting outside in a lawn chair she will jump into the one next to you and just sit there like she’s waiting for you to start a conversation with her.

  19. I knew I wanted a dog but I wanted to wait until after my daughter’s wedding in May. I mentioned it at work & one of my co-workers said her mom had a 5-month-old cockapoo that wasn’t working out for her. I got Charlie a week after my daughter’s wedding & have never regretted it. He’s such a sweet boy & he does like to ride in the back seat.

  20. Opps to go with my other post my dog is a chi-wei. Before we got him he was abused so he was quiet and kept to himself. Now he is an active, very friendly, and hyper two year old.

  21. I love my pets. Zeke is my German Shepard and he is a very lovable baby. We learned that we can hide his toy squeaky hamburger anywhere in our yard and he can find it! Minnie is my little Shih Tzu. She makes this cute little snuffie noise with her nose and tells me she loves me. I love her so much! vlrbrice at yahoo dot com

  22. We have 2 pups that are both rescue dogs.Their names are Jibby and Twyla – they came from horrible situations but are happy and loving dogs today!!!

  23. I laughed when I saw the prize- Dozer my pit lab mix is such a good boy but he truly believes — him riding shotgun is the way it is supposed to be!

  24. We have a Hangin’ Tree Cowdog named Freckles. She is kind of high strung, but is a lovey little girl. She talks constantly and sounds like a monkey!

  25. sarge..2 years a corgi/shepard and i rescued him from a prison program. The inmates train rescue dogs.

he is the sweetest dog and so obedient. No squirrel has a chance in the yard though. he is so fast!!

  26. We were looking for 2 french bulldogs and when we looked on, we were lucky enough to find them 10 miles from our house. It was meant to be and they have been pure joy ever since. 😆

  27. Our Henry is a beagle-bulldog mix — we adopted him and this was a great decision! He is part of our family and my kids love him. He was a wild puppy at first and caused so much destruction … he tore up our kitchen floor and we had to replace it. Just when we were about to give up on him he turned things around and is a great doggie!!

  28. It was luv at first yelp when we found our black lab/german shepherd mix looking for a good home. We named our new best friend Jersey and quickly found out a few dog facts: 1. They don’t care how big they are, they can sit in your lap 2. They will chew whatever you leave around, including the siding of your house 3. They are a part of your family and your heart!

  29. I’ll start. 🙂 We found our border collie Moko on as a 9-week-old puppy. We couldn’t resist adopting her! She flew from Utah to PA. We couldn’t be happier!!! 😆
