Spring 2012 Hot Makeup Colors for Eyes

Spring 2012 Hot Makeup Colors and Trends for EyesSpring makeup is more about feeling and looking fresh, light, and dewy. After all, it’s the season of bright colors. Taking inspiration from the blossoms, makeup for spring 2012 is going to go back to the basics and the naturals. Hot colors for the eyes include lilacs, aqua, cockatoo, pinks, and neutrals. Take a look on what to expect with our preview of spring 2012 hot makeup colors for eyes.

Barely There

Perhaps the most natural looking makeup is one where you’d have a difficult time distinguishing whether or not a person really is made-up. This is the aim of barely-there makeup. Eye makeup would focus more on taupe, tan, or bronze. Typically, eyeliners create a more dramatic look. Taylor Swift is a good example of someone using barely there makeup, sticking to winged eyeliners.

One unusual trend to look out for is a glossy eye makeup over matte skin, as seen in runways for the Spring/Summer 2012 collection. This texture can be achieved by using cream-based eye shadows over a matte foundation. Shimmers have the same effect as well, but remember to stick to a nude shade if you’re going for this look.

Nothing spells romantic more than pink. That slight blush over the cheeks is best complimented by a light sweep of coral or peach on the eyes, followed by a very light highlighter in the brow bones and at the inner corners of the eyes. Long eyelashes also have the same romantic effect. In fact, great mascara even enhances the look when paired with romantic eyes. So feel free to brush up your eyelashes. Maybelline Great Lash or a similar product offering length and volume would do the trick for you.

If you are all for partying like a rock star this season, you will definitely enjoy the bright splash of colors that you will find in magazine editorials. If you look closely, you’ll find them similar to peacock colors –   greens, yellows, purples, and blues – only in lighter shades. These are cockatoos, lilacs, and margaritas. If you wish to enhance your eye color, go for ones that truly pop.

For blue eyes, corals and yellows will make your eyes bluer than blue. Hazel eyes, or those with brown eyes, would do well in shades of green such as lime. Here’s a hint: Go over the color wheel, and the colors that lie opposite to your eye color will compliment your peepers. M.A.C. has a very broad range of colors, and it remains one of our favorite lines of makeup.

Glam colors such as gold and bronze will always have a place in a glamazon’s heart. Gold and bronze eye makeup work their magic after a good tan, so be sure to stock up on it right after spending a day out for a picnic or a trip to the beach. They are also universal colors for spring in the way that they go well with other bright and even shocking colors. Leave the smoky eye for now, and stick to bronze and gold eyes. Smoky eye will look out of place this season; save it for fall.

Earth tones are always a keeper. Brown, tan, beige, and ash will go with a nude theme of makeup. Better still, they’ll serve as a blank canvas for you to be able to make other parts of your face pop. If you’re looking to put focus on your lips or your cheeks, then donning earth tones is a great idea.

Six Easter Makeup Tips and Hot Looks for Spring

Easter Makeup Tips for SpringThe warm weather invites flirty fashions and gorgeous spring makeup looks, especially suited for Easter and any nice day in or out this spring. No matter if you prefer to try a new look for spring or simply want to spruce up your current look with a fresh pop of color. Here are some fun and fabulous Easter makeup tips and hot looks to try this spring.

Before you get started with applying any makeup for Easter or spring, consider your existing makeup collection and what items you might like to update. Be sure you have some fresh nail polish colors, eye shadows, and eyeliners. You should also make sure your mascara is in full working order, and that your concealer and foundation products still deliver the same results you enjoy on a daily basis. One of the best secrets to flawless makeup application and a polished look is to ensure the cosmetics are not expired or past their prime.

Now, consider these pretty Easter makeup tips and hot looks you can try for spring.

1.    Keep your fingernails and toenails looking fresh and beautiful. Try a standard French manicure for a classy look, pink or red toenails for a classic and timeless look, or a fun variation with some Easter nail art (or Easter Egg nail designs) if you are in the mood for something playful instead.

2.    Add a pop of color to your eyes. Whether you are trying a new, colored eyeliner pencil or experimenting with fun eye shadow colors for 2012, a nice burst of color can add so much to your look.

3.    Add two coats of mascara to ensure your lashes stand out. Once you’ve added some pretty eyeliner and eye shadow, don’t forget to finish your eyes with some dramatic mascara. Your long, luxurious lashes will draw attention to your pretty look for Easter or spring in general.

4.    Go for a subtle lip gloss with a hint of color and a touch of shimmer. Your lips will look and feel great. Keeping your lips hydrated with a subtle shine makes them so much more kissable!

5.    Cover up any blemishes and add a light dusting of bronzer to warm up your skin with sparkle. A good bronzer product will add just the right amount of shimmer and glow without making you look fake or like you’re trying too hard. A subtle touch of shimmer can be gorgeous at Easter and in the springtime before summer arrives.

6.    Finish it all off with a spritz of perfume. Though it doesn’t directly impact your appearance, a delicate hint of perfume pleasantly greets those you meet and it may linger as you pass by.

The tips above should give you a good foundation for a pretty Easter or spring look. You can add other special makeup tips and tricks to suit your personal style or the occasion. Maybelline Lash Stiletto Ultimate Length Mascara Product Review

Maybelline Lash Stiletto Ultimate Length MascaraI recently needed a new, waterproof brownish black mascara and happened upon a Maybelline sale at my local CVS. I saw the opportunity to try a new product when my usual brownish black mascara wasn’t available on the shelf, so I picked up a tube of Maybelline Lash Stiletto Ultimate Length Mascara in Brownish Black. The product claims to offer up to 70% longer lashes with a shiny, patent finish. Here’s my personal review of this waterproof brownish black mascara.

First things first, my eyelashes are not as long and luxurious as I would like, so I really count on my mascara to do the job for me. I have to say, the first coat of this mascara left a lot to be desired in my humble opinion. Of course, I rarely if ever apply only one coat of mascara, so I can’t completely judge this product on its initial coverage. I applied three coats to reach my desired volume and length, and the finished result was acceptable to me.

The Grip & Extend brush is designed to grasp each lash and coat it from every angle for the best possible coverage, length, and shine. The instructions say to continue building lashes until you reach your desired look, and not to let the coats dry between application. I am not sure if I applied the mascara quickly enough, but I did eventually get the coverage I was looking for with this product.

Where I think Maybelline Lash Stiletto Ultimate Length Mascara excels is the fact that it is very waterproof, great for long-term wear, and seems to be fully smudge-proof. I have found faults with other waterproof mascara before, so this is a huge plus for me, especially since I need to take a tube or two of waterproof mascara on vacation with me in a few days.

Maybelline Lash Stiletto Ultimate Length Mascara removed fairly easily with my normal makeup remover wipes. This product is safe for contact lens wearers and has been ophthalmologist tested. I believe it retails for around $9 or so, but you may be able to find a coupon in your Sunday paper or at least watch for the deals at your favorite drugstore, mass market retailer, or online at Amazon.com.

Review of Thinking of You® Eau de Parfum by Mary Kay

Mary Kay Thinking of You Eau de Parfum ReviewFor a light and refreshing perfume option that carries a fine blend of fragrances, consider Thinking of You by Mary Kay. This fragrance for women seems perfect for springtime and summertime, offering a soft and sexy twist in a light scent that lingers beautifully. I received a bottle of Mary Kay’s Thinking of You Eau de Parfum for the purpose of this review and I am pleased to say I believe I will be adding this scent into my regular rotation.

To give you some background, other perfumes and fragrances that I tend to wear (or have worn in the past) and like include “Very Sexy” by Victoria’s Secret (my current fragrance of choice), Curve, Dreams by Taboo, Butterfly by Mary Kay (from YEARS ago), and assorted fragrances by Bath and Body Works. I feel as though this fragrance fits nicely in the same vein as these other fragrances that I enjoy wearing or have worn in the past.

Product documentation for Thinking of You Eau de Parfum says, “The message in this bottle is all about relationships and celebrating them with a gift that turns a moment into a memory.” I have to agree that memories and special relationships do ring a bell for me with this fragrance. Something about it reminds me of earlier days, back when I was in college and around the time I met my husband. All great memories!

The notes in this fragrance are described as both fruity and “floriental,” a new word for me, but one that makes great sense when you take in the scent of Thinking of You. The perfume comes in a fancy box that leaves room for a handwritten note while the perfume’s bottle has a small heart charm adornment that can be affixed to a piece of jewelry if you like.

Mary Kay’s Thinking of You Eau de Parfum retails for $30 for a 1 oz. bottle. Contact your Mary Kay representative or order yours online at MaryKay.com or Amazon.com.

We were lucky enough to get the scoop on some of the top female celebrities and their hairstyles and the makeup products used to achieve their red carpet looks. Check out these hot tips on the styles of the Oscars as shown off by Diaz, Penelope Cruz, Sandra Bullock, and Rose Byrne.

Depending on your makeup and hairstyle prowess, you may be able to recreate some of these hot makeup looks and hairstyles from the 84th Academy Awards. Here are the details on four fabulous red carpet looks:

Red Carpet Look #1 – Makeup of Cameron Diaz
The gorgeous Cameron Diaz donned a clean and polished look that recalled old school Hollywood glamour for a simple and elegant appearance. Celebrity makeup artist Robin Fredriksz helped Cameron get all dolled up using a variety of Lancôme products like Teint Idole Ultra 24H Foundation and Blush Subtil in Cosmopolitan Pink for her face and Rouge in Love Lipcolor in Roses In Love for her lips.

Cameron Diaz’s eye lit up with a pretty palette created using Color Design Eye Shadow in Ciel du Soir, Color Design Eye Shadow in Kitten Heel, Liner Design Gel EyeLiner in Black Fishnets, Hypnôse Doll Lashes Mascara in So Black!, and YSL Touche Éclat Radiant Touch in #3.

Red Carpet Look #2 – Makeup of Penelope Cruz
Lancôme ambassadress Penelope Cruz rocked a stunning off-the-shoulder gown paired with a soft and lovely hairstyle. Her celebrity makeup artist, Matthew VanLeeuwen, dressed up her look with rich and intense makeup that created just the right level of intensity. For her face, VanLeeuwen used La Base Pro Primer, Teint Idole Ultra 24H Foundation, Star Bronzer (for cheeks and temples), and Blush Subtil in Rose Romantique (for the apples of her cheeks).

Cruz enhanced the mystery around her eyes with Color Design 5 Pan Palette in Gris Fatale, Le Crayon Khôl EyeLiner in Black Lapis, and Ôscillation Power mascara in Black. Her makeup artist completed the look with Le Lipstique Lip Colouring Stick in Bronzelle and Rouge in Love Lipcolor in Delicate Lace.

Red Carpet Look #3 – Sandra Bullock’s Hairstyle
Celebrity hairstylist David Babaii worked his magic for Sandra Bullock’s Pony Style for this year’s Academy Awards. The idea behind the look was to spotlight her shiny, natural mocha brown hair. Babaii used these steps to create her look – you can follow them to try the look for yourself:

1.    Apply Miracle Oil by David Babaii to towel-dried hair to enhance shine and heat protection.
2.    Divide your hair into four sections (top, sides, and nape) for best drying so that you can smooth all the sections completely straight. Tip: Consider using a nozzle attachment to control airflow and a medium paddle brush for a straight, sleek hairstyle.
3.    Lightly spray hair with IT&LY HAIRFASHION’S Pure Definition Hairspray.
4.    Smooth and lift your hair into a high ponytail.
5.    Secure the ponytail with a coated hair band.
6.    Wrap a small section of hair around the band and secure it with a bobby pin or two.
7.    Apply a small combination of Miracle Oil and Pure Definition Hairspray to your palms and smooth it over the ponytail for a shiny and sleek look.
8.    To complete the look, place a small, fancy pin off to the side.

Anyone looking to achieve the same kind of chocolate brown hair color can try professional hair color by IT&LY HAIRFASHION’S Colorly 20/20 Mocha Series.

Red Carpet Look #4 – Rose Byrne’s Hairstyle
Rose Byrne stepped onto the red carpet with a sexy black backless gown. Her sleek bob hairstyle looked stunning with the rest of her look. John Frieda International Creative Consultant Harry Josh styled her hair with the following steps:

1.    Apply John Frieda Full Repair Style Revival heat-activated spray on wet hair. This helps to achieve a sleek, straight style.
2.    Blow-dry your hair with a round brush.
3.    Starting below the roots, flat iron your hair section by section to ensure shine, volume, and straightness.
4.    Add a side part.
5.    Touch up and complete the look with the John Frieda Full Repair Touch-Up Flyaway Tamer.

Vincent Longo Pulse Collection Trio Diamond Eye Shadow Review

vincent longo eye shadow reviewI am a sucker for nice eye shadow, so the chance to try Vincent Longo’s new Spring and Summer 2012 Pulse Collection really hit the spot. I received all three eye shadow trios in these pretty spring and summer eye makeup colors – Sweet Vivaldi, Champagne Lily, and Topaz Dream. I have to say, I’m beyond impressed with my first few uses of the eye shadow compacts and the results they provide. So far there’s been no need for reapplication or touchups throughout the day or night when I’m wearing them!

The color choices in each Vincent Longo trio make a great palette for just about any eye color. I’ve always been a fan of colors in the tan, pink, and purple family, simply because they are soft, pretty, and work well with my brown eyes. Each of these compacts contains a color I just love! Sweet Vivaldi matches up a charcoal shade with smoked silver and platinum pink. All are sparkly and gorgeous. I just haven’t gotten up the nerve to try the charcoal yet, but I will. I just need a good excuse, like girls night out or a fun evening event!

The Champagne Lily eye shadow trio brings together warmer hues of vibrant violet, frosted gold, and champagne rose. I totally love the champagne rose because it sets off my baby browns nicely, but all of the colors in this palette are fun and quite lovely.

The Topaz Dream compact includes a neutral pairing of gold, silver, and dark topaz – the perfect set for a sparkly look on any eye color. I tend toward the golden color myself, but also enjoy the silver. Again, I’ve still got to try the darker shade in the trio, but I myself normally wear softer shades on my eyes so it is by no fault of the color itself, just personal preference.

The Vincent Longo Pulse Collection Trio Diamond Eye Shadow compacts retail for $25 each and while that may seem a slight bit steep, I am in love with the results I get every time. These colors beautifully highlight your eyelids and the area just below your brow bone, delivering a look that lasts pretty much until you wash it off. I really enjoyed how the shadows give my makeup application a more sophisticated look with a sparkle that draws your gaze right to the eyes. The shadows go on softly and smoothly with your favorite applicator or my favorite, an EcoTOOLS eye shadow brush. I’m very pleased with this new discovery in eye shadow shades and I look forward to enjoying this brand for a long time to come. Highly recommended for anyone who loves makeup, sparkle, or eyes that look great all night long!

Sexy Valentine’s Day Makeup and Beauty Tips

Romantic and sexy Valentine's Day beauty tipsValentine’s Day gives us a fun excuse to get all dolled up from head to toe – a great outfit, a romantic hairstyle, and makeup that adds all the right finishing touches. If you have a hot date on Valentine’s Day, or even if you’ve got something up your sleeve with your single friends, try these sexy Valentine beauty tips to be sure you are in the mood for whatever your evening holds.

Remember to match your attire and your look to the activity you’ll be enjoying on your Valentine’s Day date or night out. You may not want to wear a flirty cocktail dress to dinner and a movie just as you won’t want to wear a casual top with jeans to a fancy evening of dinner and dancing. Once you know your plans, you can create the perfect idea of what to wear on Valentine’s Day, including your makeup, shoes, and accessories!

Try these sexy V-Day beauty tips to get you started:

Touch up blemishes first and foremost.
Before you even apply the dazzling makeup, start out by concealing any imperfections, including dark circles under your eyes or a tiny blemish. Don’t forget to tuck away your concealer in your purse just in case you need to do any touchups later as well.

Emphasize your eyes with eyeliner.
To make your eyes really “pop,” first apply a darker shade of eyeliner around your lower and upper lids. You can use black, brown, navy blue, amethyst, or olive green for a sweet and sultry look. Eyeliner defines your eyes, giving you even more emotion in your expressions. Don’t forget this important step!

Add a little sparkle to your eyelids.
Valentine’s Day is the perfect time to break out the sparkly eye makeup for a romantic and seductive look. Consider the Pulse collection by Vincent Longo – this spring and summer 2012 lineup includes light tans, browns, pinks, and silvery purple to give you a fresh and bold look no matter what your eye color.

Try false eyelashes for a long and luxurious change.
If you weren’t blessed with mile-long lashes, don’t worry. You can still glam up your look with fabulous falsies, extending the length of your natural ones with fuller, more defined lashes. Be sure to check your false lashes from time to time throughout the evening to ensure they are still staying put.

Consider wearing a clear or light lip balm instead of bold lipstick.
While you may love the bold red or fuchsia lipstick and lip stain products, your boyfriend or husband may not. Try to keep the color off his cheeks and collar and opt instead for a glossy or pearly lip balm or lip gloss that won’t leave smooch marks everywhere you kiss. As an added bonus, a flavored, moisturizing lip balm (like Palmer’s decadent Chocolate Cherry!) can add an enticing aroma as well as an even softer texture for your lips, making them ultra kissable.

Don’t forget the perfume!
A quick spritz of perfume completes your preparations and has you ready to stroll out the door or await your handsome date. Add just a touch of your favorite perfume to your pulse points – on your wrist or behind your neck. If you’re exchanging Valentine’s Day cards, consider spraying just a tiny bit and waving the card through the mist before you seal it up in the envelope.

These are just a few fun and sexy beauty suggestions for Valentine’s Day. Don’t miss our feature – What Should I Wear on Valentine’s Day?, and please share any additional tips or ideas you have in our comments below.

Two Great Products from Smashbox

I received the Photo Finish Foundation Primer in Original and the Photo OP Eye Shadow Trio in Cover Shoot for the purpose of this review. The products come in sleek packaging made using Sustainable Forestry Initiative (SFI) Certified paper and soy inks. Like all Smashbox cosmetics, these products are cruelty free, paraben free, and made with good-for-your-skin ingredients.

The colorless Photo Finish Foundation Primer glides onto skin smoothly, feeling neither like a powder nor a liquid. The light weight oil-free formula can be used alone or under foundation. The combination of vitamins A and E, grape seed extract, and green tea acts as an ideal base for your look.

The formula moisturizes your skin while perfecting the image of your skin by filling in lines and reducing the appearance of pores. Only a small dab is needed to make your foundation really last the day. Photo Finish Foundation Primer will not only give you totally photographable skin, but also skin that’s soft to the touch!

The Photo OP Eye Shadow Trio in Covershoot come in three natural color shades for your eyes. These coordinating hues are easy to use to make your eyes really pop! The trio provides you with a mistake-proof base, contour, and highlight color than you can play around with or use the tip on the back of the palette as a guide. (Many Smashbox palettes feature step-by-step instructions for application to create the perfect look.)

The trio features three subtle shades: Flirt, Dusk, and Haze. Flirt is a glittery cream hue to highlight your eyes, ideal for application from the lashline to the brow. Dusk is a great base for the trio and comes in a shimmery light brown. Use Haze as the matte brown contour in the crease of the eye. These easy to blend colors are sure to give you a low-key look for the office or a weekend outing.

Easy Makeup Tutorial: How to Apply Eye Shadow

For some women, applying eye shadow can be a breeze. For others, it can be a challenging task, especially when hoping to try a new style or technique. This visual guide on how to apply eye shadow by Vincent Longo should make your next makeup session as simple as can be. Check out these eye shadow application tips and photos to help you achieve a glamorous look for your next outing.

Before you get started, gather your favorite makeup products, including concealer, loose powder, eyeliner, makeup brushes, eye shadow, lash definer brush, and of course, eye shadow.

Now follow these tips from Vincent Longo to get incredible, gorgeous eyes that mimic what you would see on the red carpet.

1.    Even out the texture of your skin and prepare your eyes for color with a dab of concealer to your upper and lower lids.
2.    Apply a light dusting of loose powder to set the concealer.
3.    Vincent’s tip: “Make sure that the inner corners of the upper and lower eyelids are well powdered.”

4.    Starting along the upper lash line from the outer corner to the inner corner, apply eyeliner in your desired color.
5.    Use brush #33 or similar to blend the line in an upward and outward direction.
6.    Extend the line beyond your lash line to elongate and define the eye.

7.    Contour the crease of your eye using the in-between eye shadow color.

8.    Blend across your lash line and flare slightly upward toward the outer corner of the eye using brush #18 or similar.

9.    To create a soft, smoky effect, apply color to brush #33 or similar and beginning at the outer corner, stroke lashes vertically until you’ve completed two-thirds of the lower eye. This keeps the intense color close to the lashes.

10.    Comb your lashes with lash definer brush #2 or similar before you add any mascara.
Vincent’s tip: “Be sure to blend the eye pencil first and then the eye shadow.”

These step by step tips for applying eye shadow give your eyes a gorgeous, dolled up look that works beautifully in the office, for an evening out, or for any special occasion. If you have any special eye makeup application tips to add, please share them in our comments below.

We’ve interviewed the pros and can’t wait to tell you all about the hot eye makeup colors and trends for winter 2012. Read on to find out what colors you should add to your makeup stash.

Consider these sexy, sassy, and bold eye makeup looks from the pros to get you through the winter of 2012 with gorgeously done up eyes.

Winter 2012 Hot Eye Colors: Black, Midnight Blue, Grey
Winter 2012 Hot Eye Makeup Colors and Trends“The look right now is a thin to thick eyeliner or eye shadow in black, midnight blue or grey that extends outside the lash line and is paired with a neutral lid, giving a sultry, sexy look,” says Victoria Collotta, Spa Director at Jaie3 salon.spa.beautique in Medfield, MA.

To achieve this hot winter 2012 eye color look, Victoria Collotta shares the following step-by-step instructions:

1.    Apply eyeliner or eye shadow starting at the middle of your eye, above the iris. Stay close along the lash line using a small, angled brush and work the liner into a thicker, smudged line at the outer edge, using a sponge-tipped brush.
2.    Consider using a lash conditioner (Recommendation: Jane Iredale lash/brow conditioner) before applying mascara to achieve a “clumpy” outer eyelash look.
3.    Apply false eyelashes to the outer corners of your eyes for a more dramatic look, especially in the evening.
4.    Keep your lids relatively neutral as the emphasis should be on your lashes and liner.

Tip: “For a softer, smokier look, substitute blue for a plum blended with black or grey, or use gold blended with espresso,” Collotta recommends.

If you’re feeling vivacious, don’t be afraid to let it show. Darker, bolder eye colors are also a great fit for the winter 2012 season, giving you a pop of color that looks fab with so many fashions. Consider these tips from professional makeup artists.

“The trend for makeup this season is sassy and sexy BOLD jewel toned colors!” says Amy Brackman, makeup artist and owner of Luxe BeautiQue in Swampscott, Massachusetts. “Try dressing up your eyes with BECCA ‘Feeorin’ or ‘Nyx’ Jewel Dust for shimmering shadow on your lids. Add a sultry, smoky look by popping bright hues of pink, purple, blues, and greens into the center of the eye and glamorously smoking and contouring it to design your signature look.”

And the third trend in Winter 2012 Hot Eye Colors…

Crazy Rumors Fresh Squeezed Lip Balm Review

Crazy Rumors Lip Balm ReviewLip balm, ChapStick, and other lip gloss products are some of my very favorites when it comes to beauty goodies. I was excited to learn about Crazy Rumors Fresh Squeezed Lip Balm and even happier to receive two flavors for the purpose of this review. Four citrus flavors make up this organic beauty collection, including Orange Juice, Pink Grapefruit, Lemonade, and Limeaid.

I really enjoyed the citrus flavors of the Crazy Rumors Fresh Squeezed lip balms. I got to try Pink Grapefruit and Limeaid, which are both very refreshing. These lip products have a slightly waxy taste as well, but it’s not a bad taste – just an organic kind of taste. Crazy Rumors lip balms are also cruelty free and vegan certified products. They contain natural and organic ingredients to soothe your lips and keep your kisses soft. Certified organic ingredients include Jojoba oil, extra virgin olive oil, Shea butter, and Vitamin E.

I would love to try the lemonade and orange juice flavors one day as well. I’m impressed with both the pink grapefruit and limeaid varieties – very yummy and nice to have on hand on a hot summer day or any time of year.

These lip balms by Crazy Rumors are available in a multi-pack of four yummy citrus flavors or you can get them separately as well. They are available at $3.49 a piece or $13.49 for the four piece juice collection. For more information, check out http://crazyrumors.com.

Perfect Lip Gloss for Raspberry Lovers – Philosophy Raspberry Sorbet Lip Shine

Maybe it isn’t fair for me to write this review, since I am a huge fan or raspberry as well as all things lip balm or lip gloss. Or maybe that makes me the perfect person to write this review. Either way, I am super excited to share with you the amazing find that is Philosophy’s Raspberry Sorbet Lip Shine. This is my best beauty splurge yet – I believe I spent a full $10 on this goodie, but it’s well worth the cost for this luxurious lip treat that I’ll enjoy all summer long, and beyond.

“Sweet kisses are the best treat,” the tube of raspberry shine says boldly, reminding us of another great reason why we love lip gloss so much. This lip product has a distinctive sparkle and a rich raspberry taste that is out of this world. The tube is a nice size, 14 g. / 0.5 oz, which is typically easy to find inside even the biggest black-hole of a purse. I have had this for several months and though I don’t use it compulsively (I have about 80 lip balm products, probably), I find it just lasts and lasts.

So the raspberry flavor is my favorite. I also love the sparkle and shine this beauty goodie adds to your lips. It is rich and emollient without feeling too sticky. I also enjoy that I can stand it upright on my makeup counter bathroom counter when I’m getting dolled up in the morning.

You can get this wonderful raspberry-flavored lip shine product at Sephora or online at Amazon.com. Believe me when I tell you, if you like raspberry, Philosophy, and lip products, I don’t think you’ll be disappointed!
