Father’s Day Cocktails and Drink Ideas

Dads deserve a special day to be pampered just like moms, and what better way than with a great day of food and drinks to celebrate? Consider treating Dad to his own barbecue or make him a feast fit for a king. While you’re at it, be sure to serve up a cocktail featuring his favorite spirit—vodka, rum, tequila, whisky, or even a beer themed cocktail. Consider these great Father’s Day cocktails and drink ideas so you can help Dad celebrate in style.

Gather all the ingredients and follow these easy steps to create delicious and festive Father’s Day drinks for Dad:

Father’s Day Vodka Drinks

Backyard Barbeque Cider

1.5 oz. Vikingfjord Vodka
0.5 oz. Allspice Dram
0.5 oz. Lemon Juice
1.5 oz. Apple Cider
Dash of Baked Apple Bitters


1. Combine ingredients into a cocktail shaker.

2. Shake with ice.

3. Strain into a rocks glass with fresh ice.

4. Add a red apple slice for garnish.


The Happy Dad

2 oz. Vikingfjord Vodka
2 oz. Blood Orange Juice
1 oz. Champagne / Dry Prosecco
0.5 oz. Aperol


1. Press two blood orange slices into bottom of wine glass.

2. Add 1/3 full of crushed ice.

3. Add blood orange juice, Aperol, and Vikingfjord vodka.

4. Fill another 1/3 with crushed ice.

5. Add champagne.

6. Top with crushed ice and add a straw.


Ginger Man

1.5 oz. Vikingfjord Apple Vodka
0.5 oz. Apple Brandy
Fever Tree Ginger Beer
2 Pressed Lime Wheels


1. Press two lime wheels into bottom of Collins glass.

2. Add ice, then Vikingfjord Apple vodka, and apple brandy.

3. Top with ginger beer.

4. Garnish with green apple slice and candied ginger.




2 oz. Vikingfjord Apple Vodka
0.75 oz. EO Pomegranate Grenadine
0.75 oz. Lime Juice
1 Bar Spoon of Cinnamon Sugar


1. Combine all ingredients into a cocktail shaker.

2. Shake with ice and strain into a cinnamon sugar rimmed cocktail glass.

The “Bloody Maryland”

1.5 oz. THE BAY Vodka
4 oz. tomato juice
1 dash Worcestershire sauce
0.5 oz. lemon juice
1 celery stalk


1. Add The Bay Seasoned Vodka, tomato juice, Worcestershire Sauce, lemon juice.

2. Pour back and forth between two mixing glasses.

3. Strain into an ice-filled highball glass.

1.0 oz of Smirnoff Pear
1.0 oz of St. Germaine
0.5 oz of Lillet
0.5 Spiced Rum infused with orange spiced tea and vanilla


1. Brew tea and mix 50/50 with your favorite spiced rum.

2. Include a few fresh vanilla beans and let sit in your fridge for at least 2 days. The longer the better, up to 30 days!

3. In a shaker with ice mix rum mixture, Smirnoff Pear, St. Germain and Lillet.

4. Strain and pour into a martini glass.

5. Garnish with an orange rind.

Father’s Day Rum Drinks

Vanilla Mojito

60 ml Light Rum
3 Tsp Heilala Vanilla Sugar
6-8 Mint Leaves
Soda Water
1 Lime, halved
Mint sprig for garnish


1. Place the vanilla sugar, the mint leaves, and a little soda water into a highball glass.

2. Muddle well to dissolve the vanilla sugar and to release the mint flavor.

3. Squeeze the juice from both halves of the lime into the glass.

4. Drop one half of the lime into the glass.

5. Add the rum.

6. Stir well.

7. Fill the glass with ice cubes.

8. Top the glass up with soda water.

9. Garnish with the mint sprig.

BACARDĺ Cuba Libre, a toast to freedom

1 part BACARDĺ Gold Rum
3 parts cola
2 limed wedges


1. Squeeze and drop lime wedge over BACARDĺ rum and cola.

2. Garnish with lime.


BACARDĺ “Rum ‘N’ Coke Float”

2 parts BACARDĺ Superior Rum
3 parts Coca-Cola
1 ball vanilla ice cream
Cubed ice


1. Fill a highball glass with ice cubes.

2. Pour on the BACARDĺ Superior Rum.

3. Top up with chilled Coca Cola.

4. Finish with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.


BACARDĺ Treacle

2 parts BACARDĺ 8 Year Old Rum
2 parts Caster sugar
2/5 spoon Freshly pressed apple juice
2 dashed Orange Bitters


1. Put the sugar and bitters into the glass, add a barspoon of BACARDĺ rum to help dissolve the sugar, muddle with the base of the barspoon.

2. Then add 2 pieces of ice and 10 ml of rum.

3. Stir well.

4. Add more ice and more rum till the glass is almost filled with both.

5. Pour the apple juice at the end and gently stir.

6. Garnish with orange zest.

Iced Horchata
(makes 6)

4 cups hot water
1 cup white rice, rinsed and drained
2 cinnamon sticks
1 cup granulated sugar
1 cup all-natural Coffee-mate Natural Bliss Low-fat Vanilla
4 ounces spiced rum (optional)
Ice cubes
Ground cinnamon


1. Combine water, rice and cinnamon sticks in large bowl; cool.

2. Cover; refrigerate for two hours or overnight.

3. Removecinnamon sticks.

4. Spoon the rice into a food processor or blender (reserve soaking liquid); cover.

5. Process on high for 3 to 4 minutes.

6. Add reserved soaking liquid and sugar; process for 2 minutes.

7. Strain mixture through a cheesecloth or fine sieve into a pitcher, pressing the rice solids until only a dry paste remains; discard paste.

8. Stir Coffee-mate and rum into mixture.

9. Serveover ice.

10. Sprinkle with cinnamon.

VOGA Italia’s Spiced Sangria

3-4 fresh figs, slices/1 cup of dried figs
1-2 fresh gala apples, sliced
2-3 clementines – sliced
1 sliced lemon
2 bottles of VOGA Italia Merlot
3 cups of sparkling apple cider
1 cup of orange juice
0.5 cup of brandy
0.5 cup of dark spiced rum
4 cinnamon sticks
5 whole cloves


1. Start off by inserting the whole cloves directly into the sliced apples.

2. Combine all of the sliced fruit in a glass pitcher and slowly pour in the brandy and wine.

3. Cover the pitcher and allow for it to chill – the longer, the better!

4. Before you serve: Add sparkling cider and orange juice.

5. Stir the mixture gently and serve it over ice.

Father’s Day Tequila Drinks

Añejo Sazerac

2 oz. Herradura Añejo
1 bar spoon simple syrup
2 dashes orange bitters
2 dashes Peychaud bitters


1. Spritz a little absinthe into a chilled coupe glass and set aside.

2. Place all ingredients into a mixing glass filled with cubed ice.

3. Stir well, strain into the chilled coupe glass.

4. Snap a twist of lemon zest over the glass and discard, garnish with a star Anise pod.

Agave Julep:

Parts DOBEL tequila
8 Fresh mint leaves
1 part agave syrup
2 parts ginger ale


1. Pour all over ice in a shaker.

2. Shake until mixed.

3. Pour into a rocks glass.

4. Garnish with lime wedge.


Spicy Pina

2 Parts DOBEL tequila
2 parts pineapple juice
0.5 part simple syrup
splash of OJ
slice of muddled jalapeno


1. Mix DOBEL, pineapple juice, simple syrup, and OJ in a shaker with ice.

2. Muddle jalapeno in a rocks glass.

3. Strain cocktail from shaker into glass, over jalapeno.

4. Garnish with slice of jalapeno.


Spanish Fashion:

2 Parts DOBEL tequila
0.5 part sweet vermouth
Dash of bitters


1. Mix in an ice filled shaker.

2. Strain into rocks glass.

3. garnish with maraschino cherry.


Gran Dobel

2 Parts DOBEL tequila
Splash Gran Marnier


1. Pour ingredients into chilled shot glass.

2. Garnish with blood orange wedge sprinkled with cinnamon.

Coconut-Margarita Ice Pops

Makes 6-8 pops (depending on size of mold)

1 cup unsweetened coconut milk
0.5 cup Coco Lopez Cream of Coconut
0.25 cup fresh lime juice
2 tablespoons superfine granulated sugar
0.25 cup water
0.25 cup shredded coconut
0.25 cup silver tequila, optional


1. Combine all ingredients in a food processor and blend until smooth.

Note: add 0.25 cup silver tequila for adult version.

2. Pour mixture into individual popsicle molds (reserving 0.25 inch at the top).

3. Chill the popsicles for 30 – 45 minutes in the refrigerator (or using an Electrolux refrigerator with versatile Luxury-Design Lift Off Shelves).

4. Remove the molds from the refrigerator, insert sticks and freeze at least six more hours or until solid.

5. Once solid, dip molds in warm water to loosen popsicle and remove from mold.

6. Pour shredded coconut into a large mixing bowl, dip one side of each popsicle into shredded coconut to garnish.

Father’s Day Scotch Whisky Drinks


2 parts DEWAR’S® WHITE LABEL® Blended Scotch Whisky
1–2 mixing spoons granulated sugar or ¾ parts simple syrup
2 wedges of lemon
3–4 fresh mint sprigs


1. Muddle the lemon, fresh mint leaves and sugar in the bottom of a mixing glass.

2. Add DEWAR’S WHITE LABEL, shake, and strain into a Collins glass filled with crushed ice.

3. Top with seltzer and garnish with fresh mint leaves.

Founder’s Fizz

2 oz. Sandeman Founders Reserve Porto
0.5 oz. Ballentine’s Blended Scotch Whisky
0.75 oz. blood orange juice
0.75 oz. sweet honey-cucumber water (honey that has been diluted with water that has cucumber slices marinating in it)
Garnish: cucumber slice


1. Add ingredients to your carbonator of choice and carbonate.

2. Pour over ice into a tall glass.

Whiskey Pop

1 sugar cube
4 drops of angostura aromatic bitters
1/2 shot of bourbon whisky
Top it off with VOGA Sparkling


1. Polish the sugar cube with bitters and drop it into the glass.

2. Pour bourbon whisky into a chilled glass and top it off with VOGA Sparkling.

Beer and Ginger Beer Cocktails for Dad

Michelada Merino (Beer Cocktail)

0.5 oz Dainzu Hibiscus Syrup
0.5oz fresh lime juice
0.25 oz Valentina Sauce
0.25 oz Salsa Inglesa (or Worcestershire Sauce)
1 bottle of lager beer


1. In a tall pilsner rimmed with Junior Merino’s Aleppo Pepper & Lime Rimmer, pour in the syrup, lime, and Salsa Inglesa.

2. Stir with a barspoon.

3. Top with lager and give a gentle stir to incorporate the ingredients.


Kentucky Derby

0.5 oz. Junior Merino’s Dainzu Elderflower & Ginger Syrup
0.5 oz. St. Germain Elderflower Liqueur
1 oz. Regatta ginger beer
1.5 oz. Bourbon
8 mint leaves
3 dashes Junior Merino’s Lavender & Yuzu Cachaca Intensive (Bitters)
3 dashes Junior Merino’s Roasted Apple & Toasted Spices Armagnac Intensive (Bitters)


1. Except for ginger beer, shake all ingredients in a Junior Merino Boston Shaker.

2. Add the ginger beer.

3. Pour over crushed iced into a snifter.

4. Garnish with a sprig of mint and a mist of Junior Merino’s Go Citrus Enhancer (Aromatics).


Black Mamba

1 slice of orange, cut in half
1 think slice of ginger, peeled
2 basil leaves
0.5 oz Dainzu Aloe & Lemongrass Syrup
0.5 oz St. Germain Elderflower Liqueur
1.5 oz Scotch infused with 5 spices (process below)
0.75 oz fresh lemon juice
1 oz Regatta Ginger Beer


1. To make the infusion: for 1 Liter of Scotch, add: 1 tablespoon of pink pepper corns, 1 cinnamon stick, 5 whole black cardamom pods (crushed), 10 cloves, 1/4 t grated nutmeg for 24 hours before use.

2. Muddle the first 4 ingredients in a mixing glass.

3. Add the liqueur, scotch, and lemon.

4. Add ice and shake.

5. Add ginger beer.

6. Double strain into a highball filled with fresh ice.

7. Garnish with pink pepper corns and candied ginger.

You can always treat Dad to a variety of other timeless cocktails, like Gin ‘n Tonics or even Scotch on the Rocks.
